About this event

Every three years Ottawa County conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), which is large study to measure the overall health of Ottawa County residents. This study collects data on the health status of over 1,000 residents via telephone interviews and combines that with interviews of medical and social service professionals to provide a comprehensive picture of our community’ health and well-being.

On Thursday, March 11th from 1:30 – 3pm we will be sharing the results of the study and highlighting what health indicators are improving and which are not.

  • How prevalent is chronic disease in our community?
  • Does obesity continue to be on the rise?
  • Have mental health indicators gotten worse during a pandemic year?
  • How accessible is healthcare to residents?
  • Has vaping surpassed traditional cigarette smoking?

Come learn answers to all of these questions and more.

The Community Health Needs Assessment rollout will also include an update on the progress of Ottawa County’ Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), which is designed to actively address some of our community’s greatest health concerns. At this meeting you will have the opportunity to not only hear an update but to provide input on where our community should focus its efforts moving forward.

The event will be held virtually and additional login details will be sent to you closer to the event.
