Galloway, N.J. – Nine members of the Stockton University men's indoor track & field team earned NJAC all-conference honors for the 2019-20 indoor season. Junior
Keith Holland (Bayville/Central Regional) led the way with NJAC First Team accolades as the conference champ in the indoor pole vault (4.40m) for the third straight year.
Senior
Edward Dennerlein (Chatham/Chatham) won the men's shot put for (15.61m) for his second career First Team nod (2018, 2020). Junior
Hunter Daly (Florence/Florence) earned his first NJAC First Team honor by winning in the high jump with a personal best (2.00m). Daly was NJAC Honorable Mention in the event last year.
The all-conference teams are based on finish in each event at the NJAC Championships. Event winners receive NJAC First Team honors while runners-up are slotted for NJAC Second Team and third-place finishers are recognized as NJAC Honorable Mention. The Ospreys placed third out of 11 teams at the conference meet on February 24.
Sophomore
Matthew Carter (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) took NJAC Second Team honors in the pole vault after finishing as the runner-up (4.25m) behind Holland. Carter was NJAC Honorable Mention last year and made the all-conference list for the second time.
Dennerlein led a one-two-three finish in the shot put, with
Tom Strychowski (Lanoka Harbor/Lacey Twp.) earning an NJAC Second Team spot, his first indoor all-conference recognition, as the runner-up (14.47m).
James Flasser (South Plainfield/South Plainfield) became an NJAC Honorable Mention performer for the second straight year with third place (14.42m).
Darren Wan (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) placed second in the weight throw (16.92m) for NJAC Second Team honors while
Kyle Navalance (Toms River/TR North) earned NJAC Honorable Mention with third place in the 5000m (15:38.98).
Freshman
Jared Conte (Ocean Twp./Ocean Twp.) rounded out the Stockton honorees with third place in the 200m (22.96 seconds) for NJAC Honorable Mention status. Wan, Navalance and Conte all earned all-conference kudos for the first time.
