Washington University in St. Louis’ campuses are located near the cultural center of St. Louis, surrounded by and adjacent to museums, performance venues, vibrant entertainment and dining districts, one of the nation’s largest civic parks, and beautiful, tree-lined neighborhoods rich in history and diversity.

Danforth Campus
The 169-acre Danforth Campus is at the heart of Washington University and is the academic home to the majority of the university’s undergraduate, graduate and professional students. The Danforth Campus features predominantly Collegiate Gothic architecture in its academic buildings, and is bordered by Forest Park and the cities of St. Louis, Clayton and University City.
Medical Campus
The Washington University Medical Campus spreads over 17 city blocks and 164 acres. The campus is home to the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and its affiliated hospitals, clinics, patient care centers and research facilities. The Medical Campus is located in St. Louis’ vibrant Central West End, home to some of the region’s best shopping and restaurants.

The campuses are well served by the region’s light rail and bus service, and have easy access to major interstate highways. In total, more than 2,000 acres and more than 150 major buildings comprise the university.
West Campus
The university’s West Campus is home to university administrative offices and the West Campus Library.
South Campus
The South Campus includes athletic fields, a gymnasium, an auditorium/theater and some classroom facilities.
North Campus
North Campus, at 700 Rosedale Ave. in St. Louis, houses a variety of administrative functions for the university.
Tyson Research Center
Located 25 miles southwest of the Danforth Campus, Tyson Research Center is a 2,000-acre outdoor laboratory for learning and research.
