2 September 2025: Ski & Ride School in My Epic App | Guest View

More Enhancements to the Ski & Ride School Experience with Lesson Connect

Happy September Vail Ski & Snowboard School Family,

I hope you’re continuing to have a great summer! We are now only 73 days away from opening for the 2025-2026 season. The cool and crisp evenings are starting to get us excited about another banner winter here in Vail. With that we are excited to share more information on the new ski and snowboard digital experience we have been working on this summer.
A few weeks ago, we shared the instructor view of the Ski & Ride School features in the My Epic App.  Click HERE
Today, we're thrilled to share with you a sneak peak of the guest view within the My Epic App.

There’s a lot for guests to love. Guests will be able to track progress across all group lessons and seasons, in one place! It will also support the guest experience with improved check-in and drop-off processes, skill and progression tracking, badges for achievements and key milestones, and easy navigation to booking another lesson right at their fingertips.

Here is a closer look at the key features within the My Epic App.
In-App Lesson Management
Highlights for the guest:
  • Link to book additional lessons
  • Manage group lessons for all household members
  • Streamlined communication and notifications for pre-arrival, need-to-knows, and building excitement
  • Review previous instructor and group-lesson details
(all designs are subject to change during development)
Improved Check-In & Drop-Off Process
Highlights for the guest:
  • Digitally complete required forms (e.g., ROL – Release of Liability, Allergy Information, etc.)
  • Navigation to meeting locations
  • Visual checklist for the guest to use to ensure lesson readiness
(all designs are subject to change during development)
Skill and Progression Tracking
Highlights for the guest:
  • Streamlined skill progression  standardized across resorts
  • Receive real-time automated updates, photos and celebratory moments via push notification during the lesson
  • Review progress within the digital skill report
  • Guests complete the lesson with a sense of accomplishment and highlights reiterated from the review/preview portion of the teaching/learning cycle
(all designs are subject to change during development)
At all other resorts outside of the pilot, new capabilities are also coming:
  • Navigate to the lesson purchase from within the app
  • View group-lesson history and skill-level progress within individual profile
(all designs are subject to change during development)
This is a small glimpse into the guest-facing capabilities. We will continue to communicate more information about all aspects of the app as we continue to develop it. In addition, we are preparing training that will be integrated into onboarding and winter ramp-up to support staff in delivering a seamless guest experience.

Thanks for being part of this journey,

Greg Willis
