The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is investigating a double homicide and they are seeking information from the public.

It has been nine days since two people were brutally gunned down in Colleton County, S.C., and state police are reaching out to the public for any information that could assist.

On the night of June 7, Margaret Murdaugh, 52, and her youngest son, Paul Murdaugh, 22, were found shot and killed outside their home in Colleton County. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the Colleton County Sheriff's Office are investigating this case.

No suspects or persons of interest have been officially announced, or arrests reported, and few details have been released by officials, citing the ongoing investigation. Police say there is no danger to the public, but they have established a dedicated tip line to solicit information.

Around 1:30 on Wednesday, June 16, SLED issued the following statement:

"While SLED continues to pursue all leads in this active and ongoing joint investigation, we want to provide a centralized avenue for any member of the public to use to provide us with information related to this case. In that regard, we have set up (803) 896-2605 as a 24-hour dedicated tip line for this case."
