Very good album from a singer I never heard of before seeing her on Amazon. Glad I bought the album as it is a very good album and she is a fine singer. Lots of good songs on this CD.

This album is fantastic! It is truly one of the most distinctive pieces of music in the country world I have heard in a long time. AND she is AWESOME! I lucked out and met her at one of the Off The Hook shows in Nashville and she is not only blessed with this beautiful voice, she also is funny like hell :-) Check the album out, you won't regret it!
Dianna is already known in the Australian country music scene, and this is her American debut, appropriately titled, 'In America'. Whether you will enjoy this album will depend upon your expectations. This album is comfortably within the mid-to-late 90's pop-country radio format. You will immediately recall the heyday of Martina McBride, Deana Carter, Faith Hill, et al., and other women who dominated the country charts up until the early 2000's. However, there is less traditional instrumentation than in the aforementioned artists, and there is less lyrical variety. The songs are decidedly pop-oriented -- very happy, sweet, upbeat.
The highlight of the album is the duet with the legendary Nashville songwriter, Gary Burr, on "Not Ready to Lose."
This is not a great album, but it is enjoyable. I expect most customers will be satisfied with their purchase. There is very little risk-taking in terms of sonic range and experimentation, but that is presumably not what her fans desire anyway.
