Welcome to Fiona Joy Hawkins & Little Hartley Music

Fiona Joy Hawkins is an Australian Pianist, Composer and Singer

I believe music is a gift from another world, from ancestors of the past communicating to inspire and give us hope.

Music is a universal language that connects us without prejudice, it speaks to us all equally, yet is received with great variation.

My wish is to open a few more hearts to the power of music.

Now more than ever we need the connection to our past in order to find the pathway to our future.
Fiona Joy Hawkins

People often ask me what music I listen to. I love lots of music for lots of different purposes.
This playlist is full of songs that have touched my life. About a third of them make me cry when I listen, some make me smile, but mostly they take me to a time and place that holds great meaning. This is the playlist I listen to when I'm in my 'writing' phase because it makes me go deep and find where my heart is, where the tears and the smiles are. This playlist is where I find the stories that mean something, the ones that inspire me to write music. Link for playlists in the comments (so the algorithms don't hide it from you).

i recognize some of my favs too. If I dare recommend Kate Bush _ dream of sheep always makes me cry I think because I have struggled sometimes to stay afloat. Kate's such an unique artist.

Have you bookmarked, have listened to your Playlist often, excellent choices ! Was listening while tidying up my shop just yesterday.

I turned on the car the other day and the Spa satellite station I usually listen to came on. I smiled as I listened to a familiar favorite song…From the Outside. 🥰🎶🎹

Love Josh Groban.

Listening to the playlist now with my breakfast...

Heat touching play list

Very true! I salute your great thoughts! May God keep u happy and healthy forever my sister!

Heart touching play list

NEWS: I'm in the writing phase and have mapped out my new solo piano album with nine solid new ideas, some fleshed out more than others, nine titles that I really like, an album title, and an album cover idea (as well as two re-records). Recording takes place at the Manning Entertainment Centre in Taree, starting 15th July.... with Peter Stevenson at the helm. The piano there is absolutely stunning. Pete is taking in all the gear and we will record in the main theatre. I think it will feel special to record on a big stage.

Some of you may already know The Journey and The Lost Ballerina, I'm planning to re-learn them (haven't played either for over 10 years) and record them on the album. A solo recording of these two tracks will produce a much more nuanced and classical result. That will take the album to eleven tracks.

Cant wait to share it with you in 2025.
