About this event

Alumni, parents, and friends of Whitman College are invited to meet and hear from Associate Professor of Geology and Environmental Studies Lyman Persico.

Dr. Persico's talk, “Floods, Wolves, and Climate Change: Changing Baselines in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem,” will walk through his research alongside students in the field, in and around Yellowstone National Park, last summer.

Lyman Persico has a joint appointment in the environmental studies and geology programs. His areas of study include Geomorphology, Soil Geomorphology, Paleoclimatology and Hydrology - which means that he likes thinking about rocks, dirt, and water and how people interact with rocks, dirt, and water with research focused on how landscapes respond to climate change.
