The Appalachian Mountains is treasured as God’s country. And for Ellie Holcomb, that’s an honest and accurate description.
The Nashville singer-songwriter cut the video for “Find You Here” in the stunning mountain region as a tribute to her faith and to her ailing father, Brown Bannister.
Holcomb and her family were surprised to discover “profound peace” in the wake of his cancer diagnosis. “It didn’t make any sense to have peace with so many questions and unknowns on the horizon, but we really did experience God drawing near to our broken hearts in a palpable and beautiful way,” she tells Billboard.
“Find You Here” will appear on Holcomb’s new album Red Sea Road, due for release Jan. 27 through Full Heart Music.

Lindley Atkinson and Shelby Goldsmith shot the gorgeous video over a 48-hour period last October. Billboard premieres “Find You Here” below.
