My 2nd Act: Survivor Stories from the Stage - Nashville

On June 6, the Women Survivors Alliance, in conjuntion with SURVIVORville and through the generous underwriting of Cancer Treatment Centers of America, will present the 2nd annual Nashville production of My 2nd Act: Survivor Stories from the Stage LIVE in the Gaylord Opryland Resort Tennessee Ballroom.  This stage show is not only a production, but an opportunity to teach and inspire its audience.

Live story telling as a form of education has existed for millennia. Prophets, troubadours, chanters, and more told stories to inspire and teach its listeners. Each time a story was retold, it inspired and taught others, from individuals to generations.

Women heal through community. Women heal by nurturing others. A production similiar to "The Vagina Monologues," the mission of My 2nd Act: Survivor Stories from the Stage is to take the audience on a beautiful journey that celebrates and validates survivorship, and gives a voice to women who are taking charge of their lives after cancer by creating a 2nd Act. Using the gifts of time and experience, they are helping other women travel their own cancer journeys.
