According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) weekly Export Sales Report, total known outstanding sales and accumulated exports of all classes of wheat for the 2023/24 marketing year totaled 18.5 MMT, sitting 4% ahead of last year’s pace.
Net sales of 271,100 MT were reported primarily for the Mexico (48,048 HRW, 92,505 SRW, 18,553 HRS), the Philippines (1,406 SRW, 6,474 HRS, 41,300 white), Japan (24,339 HRW, 326 white, 17 DUR), Colombia (19,452 SRW), and Guatemala (17,698 SRW).
USDA forecasts 2023/24 U.S. wheat exports (including donations) to total 19.3 MMT. Commitments to date (of wheat and wheat products) are 96% of total projected exports.
