- When we think of our family or our friends, people we care about, advocating for them is second nature. We do it because we care. In the workplace, whether you identify as being in an underrepresented group or not, we all play a role in helping others build communications confidence. I get it. It's not easy, especially if our plate is already full and we're thinking about how we can build visibility for ourselves. But the truth is there is strength in diversity. People also notice when others work to uplift others. In this video, I'm going to share three things you can do to help others on your team speak up with confidence. The first is being a tremendous listener. When someone who doesn't often speak up says something, chances are that person has thought long and hard and has felt compelled to say what's on their mind.
