Cohort Work

The Building Engineers in K-5 Classrooms initiative utilizes an opt-in cohort model for LEAs to participate more deeply in the work.  Each cohort LEA organizes a small team of 6-10 passionate educators that work to create and implement a 2-year plan that focuses on LOCAL goals, opportunities, and impacts.  The goals of this 2-year plan are:

  1. Spread high-quality STEM practices throughout grades K-5 to improve teacher practice and ignite student interest in available STEM pathways.
  2. Intentionally convert student interest in STEM careers to their engagement in available local STEM pathways in grades 6-12+.
