Stony Creek Colors' Natural Indigo best in show at Kingpins NYC denim show!

The secret is out - the natural indigo line released by Cone Denim in partnership with Stony Creek Colors is officially amazing! Watch the video here to see the beautiful denim garments dyed with our indigo.

Our recently announced exclusive supplier arrangement with Cone Denim, part of International Textile Group, comes following our successful pilot run at their White Oak Denim Facility in Greensboro, NC. The samples shown at the Kingpins show mark first use of natural indigo in industrial denim mills in the USA in over 100 years! The Stony Creek Colors team is thrilled to have one of the most innovative, yet true to its heritage, denim mills in the world as our first industrial customer.

This incredible field of natural indigo from one of our contract farmers deserves an email of its own, but there is just too much good news to share this season!

In 2015, we have over 16 acres of indigo planted as part of our work to build partnerships with farmers across the state of Tennessee as we scale the indigo agricultural supply chain.

Stony Creek Colors CEO Sarah Bellos accepts the Association of American Textile Chemists and Colorists Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the AATCC conference this Spring, an important validation that the textile and fashion industry is embracing new bio-based dyes! The Young Entrepreneur Award is given to an Under-40 leader changing the textile or dyestuffs industries.

If you know any young entrepreneurs you know one thing - at some point they raise money! We will be opening our first open funding round this October as we prepare to scale to a new facility in 2016 and meet some of the incredible market demand for our bio-based dyes.
