Become a Member
Visit the Lenexa Rec Center welcome desk in person to sign up for a membership.
- Memberships are non-transferable.
- There are no initiation/application, maintenance or cancellation fees.
- Need-based scholarships are available for a Core Pass membership.
Payment options
Monthly: Pay a monthly fee through an electronic funds transfer from a charge or debit account.
- Billing recurs automatically on the 20th day of each month (or the next City of Lenexa business day) until cancellation.
Annual: Pay a yearly fee during your initial signup with a check, credit or debit card.
- We send a renewal notice at least 30 days before your membership expires. Visit the Lenexa Rec Center welcome desk during operating hours to renew.
Membership card
A membership card key tag is required and helps ensure the security of your account. Having the key tag handy speeds up your check-in process and allows for contactless entry.
We offer replacement or extra key tags free of charge for members.

Change membership
Want to add/remove individuals from your account, add/remove Kid Zone child watch passes, or update your contact or billing information? Visit the Lenexa Rec Center welcome desk during operating hours. Save time by filling out a membership change/cancellation form and emailing it in advance to [email protected].
Cancel membership
Visit the Lenexa Rec Center welcome desk during operating hours to cancel in person, or fill out a membership change/cancellation form and email it to [email protected].
Monthly memberships can be canceled with a 30-day written notice. Membership will be terminated following the 30-day period on the 19th of the month.
- Example: If notice was given on Feb. 1, membership will terminate March 19.
- There is no cancellation fee.
Annual memberships are nonrefundable.
Age and Admission Policy
The following guidelines are intended to ensure everyone’s safety and create an enjoyable environment at the Lenexa Rec Center.

A valid membership or a paid daily admission fee is required for all patrons to access the fitness area and classes, pool and gymnasium (includes non-swimmers and spectators).

Day passes are valid for the day of purchase only.

Child watch service is open to children ages 6 weeks to 11 years old.

Children age 3 and older who are not covered under a valid membership must purchase a day pass to use the facility.

Children must be at least 12 years old to be allowed in the Lenexa Rec Center unsupervised.

Youth ages 12–15 must complete a youth equipment orientation in order to use fitness equipment, indoor track, gymnasiums or attend fitness classes.

Parents/guardians must be present to sign a release of liability form for the initial visit of any youth age 12–17 who uses the facility unaccompanied by an adult. The release of liability waiver will be in effect for one year. During the initial visit, a household account will be created with parent contact information in case of an emergency.

For our indoor pool:

Ages 8 and younger: An adult age 18 or older must be in the Rec Center, and the child must be directly and responsibly supervised by someone age 14 or older, unless child is part of a program.

Ages 9–11: An adult age 18 or older must be in the Rec Center, unless child is part of a program.
