Identities released in Big Arm murder-suicide

The identities have been released in Wednesday's murder-suicide in the Big Arm area.

Kirk Brown, 48, appears to have shot and killed his mother, Florence Brown, 79, and her dog and then shot himself, according to Lake County Sheriff Don Bell.

Brown and his mother shared the residence where the shooting took place.

Further investigation is taking place.

The identity of the deceased persons in the suspected homicide-suicide in Big Arm yesterday are 79 year-old, Florence Brown, and her son, 48 year-old, Kirk Brown. The individuals shared the residence where the incident took place. Further investigation is taking place, but at this time it is evident that Kirk Brown shot and killed both his mother and her dog, and then himself.
