Bach and the Italians

Bach was fundamentally changed with his familiarity with the works of Vivaldi and other Italian masters.  Josh Cohen joins the Ensemble in two virtuoso cantata with our own Pascale Beaudin (Bach's Cantata 51 and Scarlatti's Su le sponde del Tebro).  O'Sullivan plays a dark and alluring concerto for cello of Vivaldi and Appel plays the disturbing and thrilling Concert in D minor for harpsichord and strings of Bach.
