Founder David Oakes’ commitment to serving the “3 C’s” — co-workers, clients and communities — led his original company CESO to not only grow into multiple entities, but also help communities.

CESO, DDC Management, Matrix5 and Threecore are committed to giving 10 percent of their annual profits away. They also have a dedicated “community impact day” each year for staff to be involved in doing hands-on work in their communities.

That commitment to service propelled the companies’ relationship with Habitat for Humanity.

“We seek to serve our coworkers so they in turn can serve our clients” said Dan Kever, president of Threecore. “This generates the profits we need to be able to be generous to our communities.  We put people at the center of everything we do with ‘seeking to serve’ as our core value.”

Their professional ties to the housing industry made partnering with Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County a “natural fit,” Kever said. With offices throughout the country, they’ve also done Habitat builds in Tennessee and Ohio.

“The opportunity to dedicate a whole day to physically work and do something for a family in need enriches our people and allows them to serve in a capacity that many of them may not otherwise,” Kever said.

While working with Habitat Orlando & Osceola, they found the affiliate to be a sophisticated, well-structured production homebuilder, Kever said. They also appreciate that future homeowners have a stake in their homes.

“Habitat Orlando & Osceola is very well organized and is clearly doing valuable work in the community,” Kever said. “We appreciate how when we volunteer the time is well spent and meaningful.”
