The CMU Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship is honored to host Jeffrey K. Cohen, MD, the Chief Physician Executive, Community Health and Innovation at Allegheny Health Network (AHN) for an intimate fireside chat. Dr. Cohen is helping to lead a number of accelerator initiatives in the city of Pittsburgh, including AHN's recent partnership with Innovation Works to form AlphaLab Health. In addition to this exciting new cohort, Dr. Cohen and AHN are repurposing the old Suburban General Hospital (SGH) and will have 180,000 square feet of available space. The repurposing of this hospital provides substantial benefits for the startup community. 

During this intimate chat, he will discuss making the space available to startups at an affordable price with the invaluable benefit of AHN’s expert network and resources. He will also share his vision for the future of healthcare innovation in Pittsburgh and the many roles a company such as AHN can play to support and enhance the startup community. This event will also feature Will Kaigler, Swartz Center Entrepreneur in Residence, Assistant Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship and CEO and co-founder of SovaSage, an AlphaLab Health company and will be moderated by Craig Markovitz, Assitant Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship and Swartz Center Entrepreneur in Residence.
