Rich O'Toole is exclusively streaming his new single, "Back to Back," to readers of The Boot. The song is officially set for release on Feb. 12.

"Back to Back" is topically similar to Little Big Town's "Your Side of the Bed," and O'Toole's delivery of the hard-hitting and emotional song helps it shine.

"I rub your feet next to mine / The cold outline of your spine," he sings. "She means nothing to me / Turn around, and you'll see."

The mid-tempo song is reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen, but with some country flair. O'Toole's no-frills vocals bring honesty to the remorseful lyrics.

"But now we're laying back to back / If you look me in the eye, I'd take it back," he sings. "I can't do this another night / When everything I did was wrong / I'd do anything for us to get along / But now we're laying back to back."

O'Toole's previous single, "Talk About the Weather," climbed the Texas Radio Charts and became his 15th Top 10 hit on the regional ranking.

On Feb. 12, to celebrate the release of "Back to Back," O'Toole will celebrate with a single release party and performance with the Josh Abbott Band at Hurricane Harry's in College Station, Texas. In May, he will take the stage at Crude Fest 2016.
