The West Coast Conference has delayed the beginning of fall competition in all conference sports until Sept. 24, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In alignment with that decision, LMU Athletics will also delay the start of competition for men's water polo, which competes in the Western Water Polo Association.
"Although today's decision is difficult, it is necessary to provide the best opportunity for the Lions to compete this fall," said Athletics Director
Craig Pintens. "We will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our student-athletes, coaches and staff. Any future decisions on training and competition will be guided by state and local public health authorities, the WCC and the NCAA."
