Description

Using a Harm Reduction Approach to Support Survivors Who Use Substances-Part 2 (12-1:30pm MST)

Instead of our standard Facts and Snacks monthly webinar in May, Violence Free Colorado is hosting a longer, two-part series (May 2nd & May 9th) focusing on Harm Reduction, presented by Jami Wilson, Training and Technical Assistance Specialist at the National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma, and Mental Health (NCDVTMH).

NCDVTMH is a special issue training and technical assistance center focused on the intersections on domestic violence, trauma, mental health, and substance use.

These webinars are 90-minutes each, will be recorded, and live ASL and Spanish interpretation will be provided. Please let us know of any additional language access or other accommodations that are needed by April 17th for one or both webinars.

Part 2, May 9th 12-1:30pm MST

In part 2 of this 2-part webinar series, we will define the term overdose, differentiate between intoxication and overdose, and explore the appropriate response to a suspected overdose. We will also discuss overdose prevention practices including how to access and administer Naloxone/Narcan. There will be time for questions throughout the webinar and at the end.

Presenter: Jami Wilson (she/her) is a Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Specialist at the National Center on Domestic Violence, Trauma, and Mental Health.
