SAMHSA Supports First-Ever Day of Service to Recognize International Recovery Day

With National Recovery Month on the horizon, I want to personally extend an invitation to join Mobilize Recovery Day of Service, Saturday, September 30, 2023. This day is all about celebrating the incredible strength of those on their recovery journey’s, erasing stigmas, and fostering a supportive, recovery friendly community.

The power of recovery is transformative. Millions of individuals are in recovery, and we want them to know we support them, stand with them, and help spread hope to those who need it. On this Day of Service, let’s create a space for individuals in recovery, families, friends, and communities to come together to shape an environment that nurtures and uplifts those on their recovery journey. By organizing an event, whether it's a few friends or partnering with your local community, you can help demonstrate your support to individuals and families in recovery. Your presence and participation matter.

Please take a moment and watch this video:

Consider creating an event and joining me in supporting Mobilize Recovery Day of Service.

Thank you for your consideration,
