The Roaring `20s come alive at our Prohibition-era Speakeasy on May 16!
Enjoy whiskey samplings from Liberty Pole, Red Pump, B&B distilleries and others while exploring our beautifully restored streetcars in the Trolley Display Building. This #MuseumMonday, rather than shining the spotlight on our collection, we’re showing off part of our exhibits and displays - specifically, the recently repainted elevated walkway in the Trolley Display Building!
This addition to the Trolley Display Building was installed last year, giving visitors platform-level access to three of the trolleys in our collection. What a blast we had kicking off our Vintage Communications weekend! Today we got to step back into communications history and see a printing press in action, test our abilities on typewriters, hear today’s tunes on a 1940s radio, experience the sounds of a Victrola, and more.

Our history and STEAM exhibits tell the stories of the people, places, and things that made the trolley era such an exciting and unique time to be alive!
Collection
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is focused on preserving and restoring our collection of antique streetcars. The Museum was founded in 1953 and has continued to conserve, preserve, and restore cars through a mostly volunteer effort. Today, we house a collection of 50 streetcars, many of which are operational and used for daily rides. Visit our Collection page to learn more about all of our different trolleys!
