Mark Zaid, an experienced Washington, D.C.-based attorney, will guide students through the process of completing an SF-86 National Security Questionnaire, explain what to expect during polygraph examinations, and provide advice on how to maximize your chances to qualify for federal employment requiring a security clearance. This is a unique opportunity for any Johns Hopkins student who is interested in a U.S. government internship or career path.

Jack Smith, the chief innovation officer at DoubleVerify, will give a talk titled "Can Obsolescence Be Cured?" followed by a Q&A as part of the Leading Change: Perspectives from Outside of Medicine Conversation Series.

Attila Pohlmann, a professor of marketing at the School of Business of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Ecuador, will give a talk titled "Availability of Flavor Capsule Cigarettes at Points of Sale in Quito, Ecuador" for the Institute for Global Tobacco Control.

In this symposium, titled "The Impact and Governance of AI," speakers will address how society is affected by AI, how it could be governed, and the impact of AI on structural racism, housing and climate-change policies, and political agendas and monetary policy.
