The SBCC women’s basketball team received a berth in the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional playoffs on Sunday.

The Vaqueros (15-13) will play a first-round game at Mt. San Jacinto (26-2) on Wednesday night. The winner advances to play at eighth-seeded Irvine Valley (20-8).

SBCC finished fourth in the Western State Conference North Division with a 7-5 mark. Moorpark won the division at 12-0 followed by Hancock (9-3) and Ventura (8-4). All three of those teams are in the regional.

Isabella Jensen Williams is the Vaqueros’ leading scorer, averaging 14.3 points per game and 8.6 rebounds. Briana Jacobs averages 9.3 points per game.
