We’re excited to share that Oswego County is the first ACT Work Ready Community in New York State—and the entire Northeast region! This milestone highlights our commitment to building a skilled, adaptable workforce that supports business growth and economic development across the region. Take it from Riley Wood, a 2023 Oswego County P-TECH graduate and now the youngest Regional Operator ever hired by National Grid. Riley credits the ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) as a game-changer in their career journey: “The ACT credential grabbed employers’ attention and prepared me for the aptitude tests that landed my dream job!” A huge thank you to Oswego County Workforce Development and all contributing partners for offering free tools and training to help residents prepare for career success.
