Police said Jameal Rashawn Gould came to Erica Gould’s home to continue an argument which had apparently started earlier Sunday morning. Once at Erica Gould’s home, Jameal Rashawn Gould forced his way inside, produced a gun and began to search for Erica Gould.

Police say Jameal Rashawn Gould found Erica Gould hiding just outside of an upstairs window on the roof. He fired multiple shots, struck the victim and then fled the home, police said.

Erica Gould was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where she died Sunday, police said.

An arrest warrant was obtained for Jameal Rashawn Gould charging him with the murder on April 1, police said. Detectives from the Capitol Area Regional Task Force along with detectives from the Salisbury Police Department are currently searching Gould.

Kaiser said Salisbury police haven't been called to the residence previously and no protective order was in place prior to Sunday's incident.

This is the second known domestic-related incident to occur on the lower Shore this weekend. On Saturday, March 31, an apparent attempted murder-suicide in Crisfield left Susan Preston, 44, of Delmar hospitalized and the suspected attacker, Gary Preston, 57, of Delmar, dead at the scene.

Maryland State Police said Susan Preston was Gary Preston's estranged wife. As of Sunday morning, Susan Preston was in critical condition at R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, University of Maryland Medical Center officials said.
