Galloway, N.J. – Five Stockton University women's soccer players were recognized with
NJAC all-conference honors for the Spring 2021 season. The quintet led Stockton to a 3-2-2 record and a berth in the NJAC Tournament semifinals.
Seniors
Salena LeDonne (Parsippany/Parsippany) and
Kiersten Reszkowski (Freehold/Freehold Twp.) and junior
Sydney Williams (Millville/Millville) were chosen to the NJAC First Team. Junior
Susan Porambo (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) and senior
Alexa Simonetti (Wayne/Wayne Valley) received NJAC Second Team accolades.
LeDonne and Reszkowski earned their third career postseason honors and second consecutive First Team nods while Williams and Simonetti each picked up their second consecutive NJAC all-conference honor. Porambo was rewarded with an all-conference spot for the first time.
LeDonne led the team with two goals during the shortened season, tying for second in the NJAC. She fired 2.14 shots per game which ranked fourth in the conference, and she had one game-winning tally. For her career, LeDonne played in 69 games with 51 starts, scored 24 goals, and dished 10 assists for 58 points and had seven game winners.
Reszkowski tied for second in the NJAC with a pair of assists and scored one goal, a game-winner, while anchoring a stellar defensive unit that registered a 0.54 goals against average. Reszkowski helped Stockton post 26 shutouts during her three seasons on the team and she also contributed five goals and six assists for 20 points.
Williams moved up to the NJAC First Team after a Second Team selection a year ago. She played in six of Stockton's seven games, scoring once and recording five shots. Williams has started all 27 games in which she has played at Stockton and scored nine goals and dealing four assists for 22 points.
Porambo helped on the offensive end with an average of 1.57 shots per game, ranking ninth in the NJAC, while getting 1.00 shots on goal per game, which was third in the conference. Porambo started all seven games this season, with seven shots on net. For her career, Porambo has 13 goals and five assists for 31 points in 45 games (42 starts).
Simonetti made her biggest contributions defensively, helping the Ospreys to four shutouts in seven matches plus the third-best goals against average in the conference. Starting all seven games, she also potted one goal. In four seasons on the team, Simonetti played 63 games and started 57 of them, totaling eight goals and three assists for 19 points.
