Camden, N.J. – Stockton University (4-1, 4-1 NJAC) won all nine matches for a 9-0 victory over Rutgers-Camden (4-2, 4-2 NJAC). The win was the third straight for the Ospreys. Five Stockton players won matches in both singles and doubles.
Cassidy Calimer (Egg Harbor City/Absegami) and
Sarb Devi (Galloway/Absegami) shut out their opponents 8-0 at No. 1 doubles while
Lily Muir (Robbinsville/Robbinsville) and
Audrey van Schalkwyk (Haddon Hts./Paul VI) won by the same score at No. 2 doubles.
In their first college match, freshmen
Brynn Bowman (Ocean City/Ocean City) and
Bella Trimble (Marlton/Paul VI) posted an 8-2 triumph at No.3 doubles.
Muir and van Schalkwyk each won 6-0, 6-0 to lead the singles sweep for Stockton. Calimer cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 victory while Devi notched a 6-1, 6-2 win. Bowman earned her first career singles victory 6-1, 6-3 and
Brenna Samuels (Salem/Salem) contributed a 6-2, 6-0 triumph.
Stockton will end the regular season with a home match against New Jersey City tomorrow at 4 p.m.
