Four Ospreys Selected NFHCA All-Region

Galloway, NJ – Four Stockton University field hockey players were selected for NFHCA Region IV honors by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. NJAC postseason honors. Junior Allie Palumbo (Mantua/Clearview) and sophomore Carlee Thompson (Gibbsboro/Eastern Regional) were chosen NFHCA Region IV First Team.
 
Sophomore Kirsten Bailey (Burlington/Burlington Twp.) and freshman Kaelin Drey (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown Area) were named NFHCA Region IV Second Team. Palumbo, Thompson, Bailey and Drey helped Stockton tie the school record with 15 victories this season (15-5 record).
 
Palumbo became the first player in the program's 21-year history to be selected all-region three times. The forward was voted NFHCA All-Region Second Team in 2021 and 2022. Palumbo also was an NJAC First Team selection and two-time NJAC Player of the Week this season.
 
Palumbo started all 20 games and registered at least one point in 11 contests. She tied for the NJAC lead in game-winning goals (4), tied for second in assists (11) and finished third in the league in points (37) plus fourth in goals (13).
 
Palumbo tied the school record with 11 assists, and her 37 points were the third highest season total ever at Stockton. She moved into second in program history with 29 career goals and fourth with 71 career points.
 
Thompson joined the Stockton team this season as a transfer and started all 20 games. The midfielder finished fourth in the NJAC in assists (10), tied for fourth in game-winning goals (3) and ninth in points (20) while scoring five goals for the Ospreys. Thompson, who tallied at least one point in 11 games, also was an NJAC First Team selection and NJAC Offensive Player of the Week once.
 
Bailey joined Palumbo to give Stockton a dynamic offensive combo at forward. She started all 20 games, leading the Ospreys and finishing third in the NJAC in goals (14). Bailey also tied for the conference lead in game-winning goals (4) and placed fifth in points (30). Her 14 goals tied the third highest total in program history, and she was an NJAC First Team honoree.
 
Drey made an immediate impact on defense in her rookie year as she started all 20 games at center back and was Stockton's most reliable defensive player throughout the season. The freshman made one defensive save and helped Stockton post five shutouts and a 1.60 goals against average that was second in the NJAC. Drey also was chosen NJAC Honorable Mention this fall.
