**Check out our new sessions below on supporting your learner in ELA / Literacy and Math!**

As we start the new school year, most schools are continuing with at least some virtual learning. We know this comes with many challenges. We're here to help.

In order to support you as you navigate virtual learning with your kids, the experts at Insight Education Group have developed a series of workshops to equip “Home Learning Coaches™” with the appropriate ideas, tools, connections, and conversations to ensure the success of both adults and children.

What to Expect

  • Our workshops will provide you with the “secrets of the trade” to keep your sanity while your children attend online school.
  • Sessions will be interactive, provide practical ideas that can be implemented immediately, and include collaboration with other parents/guardians. Be ready to learn from and with others who are supporting their kids!
  • After your session, you will receive a video recording of the workshop. If you cannot attend the session for which you are registered, you will still receive the recorded workshop.

The Details

  • Sessions are offered via live Zoom meetings and are 90 minutes long.
  • Click under each session description below to see available dates and times. Note: all times are listed in eastern time.

The Role of the Home Learning Coach™
The pandemic has created a new role in the education world—that of a Home Learning Coach™! With virtual learning, parents/guardians often play an integral role in guiding and coaching students as they complete the activities, tasks, and assignments provided by their teachers. We know it can be A LOT! Come to this session to learn how you can help support your child in the most effective and efficient way that allows them to maximize their independence and you to maintain your sanity.

Structuring the Learning Environment
Most kids need a consistent structure to feel safe and productive in a long-term virtual learning environment. This includes the physical space in which they work, as well as the tools and structures they use to organize their tasks. This session will help Home Learning Coaches™ identify your child’s unique learning styles and build structures that will promote their successful independent work completion and meaningful learning.

Motivating Your Learner
We’ve all been there: nudging kids out of bed to complete the day's virtual learning tasks and then trying to keep them focused throughout the day. Add to that the uncertainty of the times and possible confusion about the school work assigned and it can be very difficult to keep children engaged and overwhelming for Home Learning Coaches™. Join this session to learn valuable tips to motivate the virtual learners in your home.

Asking the Right Questions
Asking your child good questions is a key component of helping them learn. Good questions are those that push their thinking and help them understand and be able to apply their learning to real-life situations. Come to this session to learn more about and practice asking the right questions.
