Morgan Jensen (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) surpassed the 2,000 career dig mark becoming the sixth player in UWW history to reach the milestone. UW-Whitewater capped the night with a 3-1 (25-16, 25-15, 25-27, 25-20) win over No. 19 Gustavus Adolphus.
UWW hit well as a team in the opening match, doubling up the Firebirds with 44 kills while hitting .310.
Jenna Weinfurt (Waukesha, Wis./Catholic Memorial) led the way with 15 kills.
Kirsten Anderson (Sun Prairie, Wis./Sun Prairie) posted 11 without committing a single attack error in the game while adding three blocks.
Jensen ended up with 25 digs, a phenomenal total in a three-set match.
Aubrie Krzus (Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South) dished out 29 assists and
Ally Longden (Pewaukee, Wis./Pewaukee) led the Warhawks at the service line with three aces.
Weinfurt tallied a double-double in the second match of the day with 17 kills and 14 digs. She added six blocks and an ace.
Anderson put up huge numbers at the net with 11 blocks - the second-most in a single match in program history. She added 12 kills in the contest.
Longden matched her ace output from the first match while Krzus tallied 51 assists.
Defensively, Jensen and Longden each registered 19 digs to lead the Warhawks in the backcourt.
