Dear 2021 Commencement Marshal Volunteers,
Thank you to all the marshals who volunteered this past weekend. For those of you working May 22 and 23, please read on (and thank you in advance for your service).
Due to forecasts of afternoon thunderstorms and extreme heat this weekend, May 22 and 23, the College is revising the schedule for our in-person Commencement ceremonies for 2019-2020 graduates.
We are consolidating our ceremonies on both days so that all ceremonies will take place between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
We are taking this proactive step to avoid having to delay or cancel afternoon ceremonies due to weather.
The Commencement Office has updated the volunteer marshal schedule to reflect this change. Due to the nature of the revised commencement schedule, there has been a reduction in the number of marshals needed and in some cases, job assignments.
View the updated volunteer marshal schedule here.
