3/13/2024 11:51:00 AM

Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University senior DJ Campbell (Vineland/Vineland) was named to the D3hoops.com All-Region 4 First Team for the 2023-24 season. The D3hoops.com all-region honors are in their 23rd year. Campbell now will be a candidate for D3hoops.com All-America recognition.

Campbell received his third straight D3hoops.com All-Region 4 award and second First Team accolade. He previously was a First Team selection in 2022 before collecting a Second Team spot in 2023. Campbell added the all-region nod to NABC District 4 First Team and NJAC First Team kudos this year. He also was selected NJAC Player of the Week three times during the season.

The senior produced an outstanding final season for the Ospreys to conclude his exceptional career. Campbell, the lone Osprey to start all 28 games, led the NJAC in minutes played (36.2 mpg) and finished second in scoring (19.6 ppg), free throw percentage (.869), three-pointers (3.0/game) and steals (2.3 spg).

Campbell also finished tied for fourth in the NJAC in blocks (0.9 bpg), seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.340), 10th in field goal percentage (.399) and 11th in rebounds (6.5 rpg). He scored at least 20 points in a game 13 times including four games over 30 markers. Campbell poured in 39 points against Montclair on January 6 to tie the second-highest total in Stockton history.

Campbell capped his brilliant career by becoming Stockton's all-time leading scorer on February 14 against Kean, breaking the record of 2,124 career points by Carl Cochran (1993-97). He ended his time as an Osprey with a career total of 2,178 points as well as a school-record 335 three-pointers.

In addition to his lofty scoring and shooting totals, Campbell also finished his career second in program history in steals (251), fourth in blocked shots (85), fifth in rebounds (668) and ninth in assists (256).
