HomeAid was honored to have Rep. Tyler Clancy speak at our National Leadership Conference! 👏 As a dedicated member of the Utah House of Representatives, Rep. Clancy has been a strong advocate for homelessness solutions, drug policy reform, and mental health treatment—causes that align deeply with HomeAid’s mission. Since his election in 2023, he has worked tirelessly to create lasting change, serving on the House Health and Human Services Committee, as Vice-Chair of the Judiciary Committee, and as Co-Chair of the Blue Collar Caucus. His leadership is helping build a future where safe, stable housing and essential services are available to all who need them. Thank you, Rep. Clancy, for your commitment to making a difference! Our team was excited to be on-site at The Other Side Village today, touring HomeAid Utah’s Tiny Home Units project! This initiative is a powerful example of how collaboration and compassion can create lasting change for individuals transitioning out of chronic homelessness. HomeAid Utah completed a single-unit tiny home in 2023—proudly featured in the Salt Lake Parade of Homes—and is now constructing five additional duplexes, bringing the total to 11 units. Each unit, under 350 square feet, offers a cozy living area, a private bathroom, a bedroom, and a kitchen—providing a safe, supportive environment for graduates of The Other Side Village. The impact of this project goes beyond housing—residents gain access to affordable rent, community activities, and meaningful work within TOSV’s social enterprises, fostering independence and self-sufficiency. A driving force behind this mission is Dave Durocher, Executive Director of The Other Side Academy in Salt Lake City. After facing multiple prison sentences, Dave turned his life around through the Delancey Street program, where he eventually became Managing Director. Now, he’s leading The Other Side Village—a community that offers people a second chance through life skills, accountability, and dignity. His story is a testament to the transformative power of opportunity and support. We’re proud to support projects like these—where stable housing is just the beginning of a brighter future.💚 🔗 Learn more about Dave and the academy at: https://lnkd.in/gT3tUkU 🔗 Learn more about the village at: https://lnkd.in/gsebtFdi #LeadershipConference #TheOtherSideVillage #EndHomelessness #HomeAidUtah
