I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: LEED Green Associate!

"The power of being asked [to be a leader] is incredible." "You lead in the room with who you are." "Mentorship will always be my # 1 thing." "There is great recognition that I need to learn a lot from the younger generation."  These were just some of the takeaways from our Leading Beyond Local event, presented last evening by our Women in Design committee and IIDA Mid-America Chapter. Great wisdom and encouragement were shared by Laura Lesniewski, FAIA, LEED AP, WELL AP and Erika Moody, FIIDA. The "secret sauce" came from panel moderator Julie A. Sayers, IIDA, who encouraged attendees to "find a way out of your little bubble" and to pursue opportunities where people recognize that you have potential.
