Jennifer Lopez has become a mainstay of the TV talent competition genre. She's appeared as a judge on ABC's top-rated American Idol, performed on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, and is the executive producer behind the reality competition show World of Dance on NBC. But one talent program that Lopez has not appeared on is NBC's America's Got Talent. The show first aired in June 2006 and has anchored the network's summer schedule ever since, drawing an average of 10 million viewers per season. The show features a variety of participants whose broad range of talents include singing, dancing, comedy, and magic. America's Got Talent helped kick-start the careers of many performers who have taken part in the competition.
