Galloway, N.J. – Two Stockton University student-athletes were chosen for CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 honors by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The honorees were in the at-large category, which encompasses multiple sports including lacrosse, ice hockey, field hockey, tennis and swimming among others.

Luc Swedlund (Randolph/Randolph) was voted to the
CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Men's At-Large Team and tennis player
Audrey van Schalkwyk (Haddon Hts./Paul VI) was selected to the
CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Women's At-Large Team.
Swedlund received CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition for the third time (2019, 21, 22), becoming the seventh Stockton student-athlete ever to collect three Academic All-District honors. van Schalkwyk is the third Stockton women's tennis player overall and first since Brynn Buechler in 2017 to be chosen CoSIDA Academic All-District.
Swedlund is a graduate student majoring in Education at Stockton. He has 4.00 GPA in grad school after amassing a 3.91 GPA as an undergrad, and he is one of the most prolific goal scorers in NCAA Division III men's lacrosse history. The senior netted 86 goals this season, the fourth highest total in the nation, and he ranks fourth nationally in goals per game (4.30).
Swedlund finished the season with the third-highest career goal total ever in Division III (279). He was an All-CSAC First Team selection and MVP of the CSAC championship game after scoring seven goals in Stockton's 25-8 victory over Montclair State.
Swedlund's 86 goals led the conference and were the second-highest season total in Stockton history, topped only by his 100 markers in 2019. During the season, he became the first Osprey ever to surpass 200 career goals and 300 career points.
van Schalkwyk, a junior, boasts a 3.99 grade point average as a Mathematics major at Stockton. She went 13-4 in singles and 13-2 in doubles during the 2021-22 season. van Schalkwyk led the Ospreys in doubles wins and finished second on the team in singles victories.
van Schalkwyk began the season with 11 consecutive doubles wins and also produced a six-match winning streak in singles during the year. She improved her career records to 26-10 in singles and 27-6 in doubles during her three seasons at Stockton so far. Van Schalkwyk is a two-time NJAC All-Conference selection in doubles (2019-20).
The CoSIDA Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the national ballot, from which CoSIDA Academic All-Americans will be selected next month.
