Today Secretary Mumin celebrated the state finalists of the 10th Annual Governor's STEM Competition. Twenty teams from across the Commonwealth demonstrated their projects, aligning with this year's theme, "Creating a Commonwealth with Universal Design in Mind." One team from Bishop Shanahan High School created a glove that works with the person wearing it to improve grip strength, especially for those who might suffer from low grip strength or tremors. STEM education continues to prepare today's learners for an increasingly technological world. Congratulations to all of the participants in the Governor's STEM Competition! There are about 61,000 open jobs that require a college degree or credentials." Read more from Millersville University student, Brenna Chernich - https://lnkd.in/gDF8RBjz
