Galloway, N.J. – Stockton University seniors
Salena LeDonne (Parsippany/Parsippany) and
Kiersten Reszkowski (Freehold/Freehold Twp.) were voted to the
CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Women's Soccer Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America. LeDonne and Reszkowski each collected Academic All-District honors for the first time.
LeDonne was a Communications major with a 3.82 grade point average while Reszkowski was a Health Science major with a 3.97 GPA. Both Ospreys completed the requirements for their bachelor's degrees this spring after leading Stockton to a 3-2-2 record during the abbreviated season.
LeDonne and Reszkowski each were voted to the NJAC First Team this year. LeDonne, a forward, topped the Ospreys with two goals and dished one assist. She joined Reszkowski and another teammate as part of a three-way tie for the team lead with four points apiece.
LeDonne netted the game-winning goal in the second half of a 1-0 victory over William Paterson on March 27. She finished in a tie for second in the NJAC in goals (2) and tied for third in shots (15).
For her career, LeDonne played in 69 games with 51 starts, scored 24 goals and dished 10 assists for 58 points. She was a three-time NJAC all-conference player (Spring 2021 & 2019 First Team, 2018 Second Team) as well as a United Soccer Coaches All-South Atlantic Region Second Team and Scholar All-East Region Second Team selection in 2019.
Reszkowski, a defender, tied for second in the NJAC in assists (2) and scored one goal, the game-winner in a 3-0 victory over Kean, to tie for the team lead with four points. She helped the Ospreys post four shutouts and a 0.54 goals against average with her defensive play in the seven matches.
Reszkowski played three seasons at Stockton after transferring from Stony Brook University (N.Y.), where she saw action in one contest as a freshman. She started 47 of the 48 games in which she appeared for the Ospreys, totaling five goals and six assists for 16 points.
Reszkowski contributed defensively in 26 shutouts and earned NJAC all-conference honors three times (Spring 2021 & 2019 First Team, 2018 Honorable Mention) during her Stockton career.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Academic All-District honorees advance to the national ballot, from which CoSIDA Academic All-Americans will be selected in July.
