    FCC Chair Brendan Carr’s “Delete, Delete, Delete” plan has led to an 18-month pause on biennial ownership reports. The window was to have opened this fall, but the Media Bureau is delaying the next filing deadline to June 2027. The FCC says it’s reviewing whether the reports are still necessary.     Xperi’s just-released In-Car Listening Report for Q2 2025, based on data gathered by its DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal, suggests that listeners want to hear more of their longtime favorite hits while driving — with five songs on Xperi’s U.S., UK, or global top 10 rankings appearing for a fifth consecutive quarter.     The Freedom of the Press Foundation has reportedly filed a legal ethics complaint against FCC Chair Brendan Carr, alleging he helped pressure Paramount into settling a Trump lawsuit to clear the path for its merger with Skydance. The D.C. Bar is reviewing the complaint, which could lead to sanctions against Carr, including disbarment, if upheld. Wills brings more than 25 years of journalism experience to WNYC, spanning print, television, radio, podcasts, and digital media. Most recently, she served as manager of audio at National Geographic. She has been with KDFC since September 2014. The stations, which have been branded as “Classical California” for the past three years, began fully sharing programming and personalities last month.
