We offer postgraduate scholarships to help finance your higher degree research

Sydney Law School offers a wide range of scholarship options for students considering postgraduate research in law.

The University of Sydney offers a diverse range of scholarship options to help you pursue your higher research aspirations in law. The scholarships are targeted towards several disciplines, including criminology, labour law, common law and more.

Sydney Law School Postgraduate Scholarships

Ivan Roberts Scholarship

Eligibility: Domestic or international student, Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor recent graduate, full-time postgraduate student
Value: $50,000

Reca Stone Postgraduate Scholarship in Legal Theory (Supplementary)

Eligibility: Domestic or international student, PhD full-time student, research in the discipline of legal theory, RTP Stipend Scholarship recipient
Value: $20,000 p.a. (up to 3 years)

John O'Brien Memorial Research Scholarship in Criminal Law and Criminology

Eligibility: Domestic or international student, PhD, MCrim (Research) or LLM (Research) student, research criminal law and/or criminology, hold an honours degree or master's degree in law or a relevant discipline.
