Education Equal Opportunity Group, Inc. EEOG 2018
EEOG’s Summer Enrichment and Technology Program is a EEOG initiative to help young women and men from challenging backgrounds find success in the tech, finance and language sectors. EEOG has pioneered leading approaches that bring financial capability/literacy to students. Students learn linguistic competencies in Spanish to communicate with confidence. We will target 30 college bound public high school students living in low income to moderate income communities. More than half of the achievement gap between lower- and higher-income youth can be explained by unequal access to summer learning opportunities. As a result, low-income youth are less likely to graduate from high school or enter college (Alexander et al, 2000).
To succeed in school and life, children and young adults need ongoing opportunities to learn and practice essential skills. EEOG mission is to empower young people to create value, become problem solvers and world leaders in today's society.
The EEOG’s Summer Leadership and Technology Program will be held at American Baptist College in Nashville on July 9, 2018 to July 13, 2018.
