Promoting Wellness, Dignity & Independence for Older Adults

Supervisor Bilal Mahmood, who represents the Tenderloin neighborhood, visited the Cadillac Hotel to celebrate Black History Month. Bilal met some of the Cadillac’s previously unhoused residents and helped serve food during the celebration. Curry provides wrap-around services for the residents, including mental health and substance abuse support. Supervisor Mahmood resides in the Tenderloin neighborhood and is often seen around the neighborhood.
Celebrating the diversity & independence of Older Adults in the Tenderloin

Decreased health makes aging in one’s home difficult to maintain and afford, causing older adults to lose housing or be sent to institutional care. At Curry Senior Center we make sure our older adults stay in their homes and their communities. We offer integrated health care, housing, case management support, meals, and community activities for all older adults, especially our most vulnerable, low-income, or unhoused.
We offer a number of services for our clients:

Programs
From Wellness to Behavioral Health, our programs help make sure we take care of the whole person.

Health Clinic
Our community’s seniors deserve access to health care, and our Primary Health Clinic makes it possible.

Housing
Housing is part of healthcare, which is why we have an apartment complex for once-homeless seniors.

Dining Room
Our dining room is more than just meals served, it’s where people gather to connect, share and learn.
