Please use this form to let us know how you plan to participate in our BMPCS Bike to School Day, May 4,
2016.
All students/families are encouraged to take this day to get to school on by bike power! Families and
small groups of neighbors are encouraged to ride together from any direction. We also welcome anyone
who can to join in an organized group ride or "bike train".
The organized ride will be a slow group ride for students and chaperoned by adult volunteers for safety.
Participants will gather at the site of the Waverly Farmers Market at 32nd and Barclay, then proceed the
approximately 1.5 miles to Baltimore Montessori Public Charter School. Adult chaperones will be on hand
to assist with the group and ensure safety along the way.
Parents may drop off their child between 7:30- 8:00 am. All students must be registered in advance and
bring a working bicycle, helmet, and bike lock. Your child should wear close toed shoes and dress
appropriately for the weather for an approximately 15-20 minute bicycle ride. Participating students
should have at least beginner experience riding a bicycle and some experience riding in the street or
crossing the street with the supervision of an adult.
