Mic has named Natasha Del Toro the anchor of its forthcoming Facebook Watch show.
The journalist will host the twice-weekly Mic Dispatch, which is set to premiere this month on Facebook’s video platform.
Del Toro has reported and produced investigative documentaries for Fusion since 2013. Most recently, she appeared on and produced docuseries The Naked Truth, which is now streaming on Netflix. She is also the host of PBS’ long-running America Reframed and was a producer on the 2016 HBO docuseries Outpost.
A Fulbright Scholar, Del Toro also has worked for PBS’ Frontline World and Time.com. She was a part of a consortium of journalists who won a Pulitzer for their reporting on the Panama Papers.

“We’re thrilled to have Natasha join Mic Dispatch, bringing her passion for exploring our culture’s tectonic shifts and pairing with it her investigative chops to bear out the nuance and truths of change,” Mic publisher Cory Haik said Monday in a statement.
Mic Dispatch was announced June 6 as part of the first batch of news shows funded by Facebook for its nearly one-year-old Watch platform. The twice-weekly show, which will run episodes of around 15 minutes in length, will be a correspondent-driven look at this momentous cultural era. Each episode will feature two stories that reflect Mic’s focus on change through the lens of social movements, politics and culture. Mic senior writer Aaron Morrison is expected to contribute work on social and criminal justice movements; Mic co-founder Jake Horowitz will offer newsmaker interviews; and Mic senior style editor Evan Ross Katz will explore fashion and the changing LGBTQ landscape.
New episodes of Mic Dispatch will be available every Tuesday and Thursday beginning later this month.
