TFWA appoints Michele Miranda as Conference Director
Michele Miranda has taken on the role of TFWA Conference Director
The Tax Free World Association (TFWA) has promoted Michele Miranda to the position of TFWA Conference Director.
Miranda, who has worked at TFWA as Conference Manager since 2015, assumed the role from February 1 and is now responsible for overseeing all of TFWA’s conferences and workshops.
TFWA said Miranda’s portfolio of skills have “enriched TFWA events for nearly a decade and will continue to do so as the association marks its 40th anniversary year”. She has seen much success working in events throughout her career and has brought her expertise to high-profile functions worldwide.
TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen said, “I offer my heartfelt congratulations to Michele on her well-deserved promotion. Michele has proven to be an outstanding member of the TFWA team over the past nine years and has done much to enhance the quality of our conferences, ensuring the participation of some of duty free and travel retail’s most compelling, engaging and knowledgeable speakers. I have no doubt that her enthusiasm, energy and professionalism will stand her in good stead in her new role of Conference Director.”
