State-of-the art masks are being built from scratch for local health care workers by local health care workers.
To help those on the front lines, the RoddyMedical team is working overtime behind the scenes.

"Fourteen hours a day for all of us. Volunteers coming together to make this happen with the whole goal that we want to get masks on faces as soon as possible," said Lindsey Roddy, founder and CEO of RoddyMedical.
Roddy, who is founder of the early stage medical device company assembled a team of engineers, designers, doctors and nurses to focus on solving a shortage of personal protection equipment.
Together, they worked day and night on what has fittingly been named the TogetherMask.
Kyle Jansson and a team of engineers at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's prototyping center used 3D printing to create the design.
"When I knew I could do something. I had to," Jansson said.
They created more than 80 different models before they landed on the one that is now being used on the front lines to help treat COVID-19 patients.
"They’re doing things that typically take years. It could be six months to a year just to get a prototype ready, and they’ve moved that along in four weeks," said Pat Deno, chief operating officer of RoddyMedical.
TogetherMasks come in multiple sizes, designed for comfort and durability.
They are see-through to allow patients to connect with healthcare workers.
"I know what it’s like to wear these for hours a day, and we want something that clinical staff and people on the frontlines would be proud of, and I’m proud of this." Roddy said.
Normal N95 masks are designed for daily use.
With medical grade filters, TogetherMasks are built to last for weeks.
"This can be removed and replaced and this can be washed, so it’s a win-win," Deno said.
With the help of fundraising, health care workers around the world could benefit from this small group of forward thinking minds.
"It’s been incredible because people are giving their time, giving their resources because this is about something bigger than just us," Roddy said.
If anyone is interested in donating money for the production of the TogetherMask, a GoFundMe campaign has been set up.
