The Best Philly Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in the Spring

Get some fresh air at Philly restaurants offering dumplings and tacos, cold beer and cocktails, and umbrellas and waterfront views

View as Map

Warmer months are — thankfully — here. It’s time to head out into the sunshine. Eating outdoors is a spring/summer/fall ritual that’s only grown in popularity since the early pandemic days of outdoor-only dining.

Many restaurants have since expanded their sidewalk, patio, and rooftop seating, and many diners still feel more comfortable sharing a meal in the fresh air. Sadly, City Hall has essentially gutted Philly’s streetery program and diners lost many favorite places to dine outdoors. Nevertheless, if you follow this map, you’ll find Philly’s most enticing spots for alfresco dining and drinking.

For more options, seek out the city’s best rooftops as well as top-notch heated patio options for winter.
